20th Anniversary Digital Fact Book released

New edition celebrates ‘converged’ world and features latest stereoscopic 3D references

NAB, Las Vegas, NV, 13th April 2008: 20 years, 12 editions and a staggering quarter of a million copies on, Quantel is releasing the latest edition of its highl-regarded Digital Fact Book at NAB 2008.

The new edition has been completely revised and updated with many new entries, reflecting the rapid changes that drive our industry forward and the incredible opportunities that advances in digital technology continue to open up.

“Today, it’s all about digital content for the whole universe – a world where the knowledge and skills of the traditional broadcasting community has cemented a fruitful union with the new wave of ‘all media’ IT-based professionals,” said Digital Fact Book Editor, Bob Pank. “The result is a truly converged digital world, which is why this edition has ‘converged media’ as its subheading.”

The rapid rise to prominence of stereoscopic 3D is also reflected in the new edition, with entries covering all aspects of this exciting new business area.

A special NAB limited edition of the Digital Fact Book was distributed to visitors to the Quantel booth at the show. Printed copies of the 20th edition Digital Fact Book will also be available at all Quantel events over the coming months, including roadshows and exhibitions. In addition, it is available on CD, and will also be published on the Quantel website after NAB.
