Quantel Compass Training Software distributed free at NAB
Now anyone can learn Quantel for free
NAB, Las Vegas, NV, 13th April 2008: Quantel is handing out thousands of copies of its fully functioning Compass Training software at NAB. It puts the Quantel interface on your PC so you can immediately start to learn Quantel - all part of our progressive Compass Training initiative designed to provide more operators for the thousands of Quantel customers around the world. All you need to do is stop by Booth # SL 720 in the Lower South Hall to collect your free CD and you can start learning the exceptional Quantel user interface right away.
The Compass Training software package consists of several elements:
- Operating software
- Example materials for practise
- Tutorial videos that guide self-learning
- Web-based assessment and accreditation
The Compass Training software emulates the user interface and basic toolsets of Quantel’s professional systems such as Joe, eQ, iQ, and Pablo, but is restricted to allow it to run on an appropriately specified PC platform. This means that learning and practise can take place at home so that students can learn at their own pace and convenience. Once students have mastered the basics, they can attend one of the classroom-based Compass Training roadshows which are taking place around the world. Successful completion of these brings entry onto the Quantel freelancer database – the passport to real career prospects.
Quantel CEO Ray Cross explained: “Demand for Quantel operators is growing exponentially as the number of Quantel installations continues to rise. This initiative is designed to satisfy that need - and will start a lot of people off on a great new career path with fantastic future prospects.”
The Compass Training software is entirely free of charge; providing the user agrees not to use the software for commercial purposes. To register for Compass Training,
